Sources from the Chengdu Intellectual Property Rights Bureau revealed that work on choosing the city's first demonstration units for IPR protection would be conducted soon. The selection will target at key companies and public service units from the leading industries. The selection process will be based on appraisal of a candidate unit's achievements in construction of patent information system, utility of patent information, transformation of patent into productivity and IPR protection training. Protection of trademarks and copyrights is also included in the selection of demonstration units.
