Day 1: Fly to Chengdu, capitol of Sichuan Province. Transfer to Min Shan Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing.
Day 2: Drive to Miyalou, in foothills of the Min Shan Mountains. Overnight in local hotel.
Day 3: Drive to Zoergai, county seat of Zoergai Prefecture, at 10,000 feet elevation. Overnight in Tibetan guesthouse.
Day 4: Meet horses and wranglers, test ride and shakedown day. Sightseeing in Zoergai and visit to local monastery.
Day 5-Day 11: Begin horseback trek (app. 150 miles) on a loop through northern Zoergai Prefecture with layover day in Lamasu midway. Horsepacking and camping.
Day 12: Last day of riding, return to Zoergai. Overnight in Tibetan guesthouse.
Day 13: Begin drive back to Chengdu. Overnight in Songpan.
Day 14: Arrive Min Shan Hotel in Chengdu in late afternoon.
Day 15: Free day in Chengdu for sightseeing and shopping.
Day 16: Depart Chengdu.
