Emei Mountain is also home to many rare species of animals such as the panda bear, pigme-pandas and red panda, black bears, frisbee size butterflies, foot long praying mantis', all kinds of birds and hawks, peacocks, many types of snakes, giant insects, and three different types of monkeys that can be found throughout the mountain, yet even a mosquito bite is rare on our Sacred Journeys due to the protective energy and blessings of Samantabhadra.
